The Irish House of Lords was the upper house of the Parliament of Ireland until that was abolished by the Act of Union 1800. Its members were Church of Ireland bishops and members of the Peerage of Ireland. From 1801 to 1870, a subset of Irish bishops sat in the UK House of Lords. From 1801 to 1961, a subset of Irish peers sat in the UK House of Lords.
