Billy Affou, professionally known as Slut Boy Billy (born August 25, 1998), is an American Ghanaian rapper and actor born in Italy. After releasing his Debut EP, "Mineral Rock EP", he rose to prominence with the viral success of singles such as "Killer" which debuted at number one on Brazil's Top 100 songs on Boomplay..[1][2]
Early life[edit]
Slut Boy Billy born in Chiari, Italy. He was raised in Pittsfield, Massachusetts and spent some of his childhood in Tampa, Florida. He attended Morningside Elementary and Egremont Elementary in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, before graduating from Edison Elementary in Tampa, Florida. With a diverse educational background, Billy brings unique perspectives to his creative pursuits.[3]
After completing elementary school at Edison Elementary, Slut Boy Billy moved to Memorial Middle School in Tampa, Florida, for a year. He then returned to his hometown of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, where he graduated from John T. Reid Middle School. Throughout his teenage years, Billy attended multiple high schools, including Taconic High School in Pittsfield, Hillsborough High School in Tampa, and eventually Plant City Adult High School, where he successfully graduated and earned his diploma.[4]
Music career[edit]
Slut Boy Billy's Mineral Rock EP crossed a million streams on boomplay[5] in June after it was released in March 2023.[6][7] The EP went on to debut in Boomplay's Top 100 charts in Turkey, Pakistan, Colombia, Brazil, Bangladesh, Egypt and South Africa. [7] His song Killer, on the EP[8] was number one on Boomplay's Brazil Top 100[9]

Personal life[edit]
After his parent’s divorce at the age of eight, he was raised in Pittsfield, Massachusetts by his father. He later relocated to Tampa, Florida with his father, and eventually returned to his hometown. Slut Boy Billy attributes his sense of community to his upbringing in Pittsfield and his experiences in Tampa.[15]
Controversy[edit]
Slut Boy Billy has been highly criticized in Ghana’s media space for wearing cropped tops and sharing unconventional photos on social media.[16][17][18]
