Neglected mention of large trees[edit]

The tallest tree is supposedly the "Mother of the Forest", but good sources are hard to come by. The "Santa Clara" tree is reported by the National Park Service to be 17.9 feet in diameter (nps.gov) which should put it in the list of stoutest trees. --2600:1010:A009:390:64B3:EF62:57F7:D71 (talk) 16:48, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Map[edit]

I'd love to just go to Google and get a nice satellite based map that shows terrain ... but does anybody have one that can be used here? California is a huge state, a lot of much smaller regions with their own character. It would be nice to put Big Basin in context. ForrestCroce 08:04, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

One of the sites for the filming of Vertigo[edit]

The character Madeleine says her famous line, "Here I was born, and there I died. It was only a moment for you; you took no notice." When she says this she points to two rings on a section cut from a redwood. See [1] for instance. 216.164.40.152 (talk) 13:12, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Camping[edit]

I have added a section on the camping options within the park. Acampbell1 (talk) 22:20, 4 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
