Frisia & Friesland[edit]

Please see discussion on page Talk:Friesland. Martinvl (talk) 19:25, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Items not called Friesland[edit]

East Friesland[edit]

East Friesland is never called Friesland, still Martinvl keeps inserting this [1]. Why? Triomio (talk) 19:26, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

East Friesland is being called "Friesland" most often in Germany which makes it a valid search term even on the English Wikipedia. De728631 (talk) 20:54, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Since when are German language exonyms used on English Wikipedia disambiguation pages? And when looking at de:Ostfriesland I doubt you even got that right. Triomio (talk) 21:06, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
By that logic we shouldn't even have this page since even Friesland is an exonym when it comes to English. Which is however being used in standard English literature. And please don't use Wikipedia as a reference, we cannot reference ourselves and Wikipedia articles as such are not reliable either. Anyhow, the discussion is taking place at Talk:Friesland. Friesland is used locally, so it is not an exonym. Mine and your statements therefore are wrong. I withdraw my first sentence completely. Still, I maintain the second. de:Ostfriesland and de:Friesland to not indicate that "Friesland" is used to refer to "Ostfriesland". Triomio (talk) 16:34, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nordfriesland[edit]

Is this ever called Friesland? Then probably it is also called Germany, or Europe and could be listed there too. But WP does not list every sub-region on encompassing region dab pages. Triomio (talk) 16:40, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

West Friesland[edit]

Same as for Nordfriesland. Triomio (talk) 16:40, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Two blue links per line[edit]

Martinvl inserted one link in the same line where there was one already [2]. I removed that. Triomio (talk) 16:42, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
