Drumbeat: Hardegen's travel guide map/lack of mapping[edit]

One thing that is in dispute: the assertion that Hardegen and the other U-Boats involved in the operation, lacked mapping due to disorganization. The source material I have, states instead, that it was a conscious decision by Doenitz/HQ, for reasons of operational secrecy, that mapping was not to be allocated from stores for this operation.92.40.116.35 (talk) 03:39, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ordered to shell the Statue of Liberty.[edit]
