The reference to electroconvulsive therapy in the article is somewhat biased. It is still considered a safe and effective treatment for a variety of psychiatric conditions. --RobbieBurns (talk) 21:46, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Would you disagree that its historical use was problematic? I think that statement in the article can certainly stand - I mean, one of the first words in the electroconvulsive main article is "controversial" and the historical uses will certainly count as that.
