@Jones44444: Thanks for your comments in the edit history. I'm not a local so forgive me if I missed the significance of the signpost! As a reader I didn't feel like it was telling me anything that the text didn't say already, just that three particular walking routes all pass through the village. That the photo is cropped with only trees behind it doesn't show me anything about Yiewsley.
The war memorial didn't seem like it was adding an awful lot either, balanced against image space being at a premium. Many towns and villages have a memorial, and they all look much the same.
