  • Thanks for writing this article; I enjoyed reading it. The article is new enough, neutral, long enough and correctly sourced. Hook fact is sourced in article. The picture is CC4.0 and looks good, meets criteria. No QPQ is needed, as this is editor's fourth DYK. However, there is a problem of too close paraphrasing with the Maori tv article. Earwig gives it a 40% match. For example, the sentence "A former member of Te Waka Toi..." is verbatim from the article. It needs a little work to reduce the overlap; shouldn't be hard to fix. Regarding the wording of the hook, I like it, but I think it should have the word "programme" after "degree" to clarify that he started a whole program. Also, his role is more strongly asserted in the hook than in the article. Maybe make it stronger in the article? It could be made more clear that he was really the driving force. Finally, this is a small thing, but under the career section, it would be good to include his title at Massey, which is mentioned in the lede, and if you know it, the date he started teaching there. Would also love to see article include more about his own artwork, but not necessary for the DYK. PMCH2 (talk) 03:07, 18 September 2021 (UTC)
  • Thanks very much for the feedback. I have added research and expanded the article including addressing your points about: the Māori TV article; strengthening the role of Jahnke in the creation of the degree (I ended up adding the other people involved); added his role; and expanded about his artwork. I have added the word 'programme' into the hook. (FYI RE: QPQ I have one other pending DYK so one will be 4 and one will be 5 depending on review process.)
