Sheesh - I seem to have lost my page in the recent overhaul.

Not really. See User:JvaGoddess

I'm a diarist and a diary buff.

I'm also trying to fill out the year in Rock important dates...

Hi JvaGoddess. This is the content from your old user page. I moved it here in case there's anything you'd like to keep. --Stephen Gilbert

So I got my friend this book for xmas - "On this day in Rock n Roll" and I'm trying to get as much of it into wikipedia before I give it away... Lots of these people don't yet have entries so feel free to start stubs! ---

Okay - I'm new here.

I'm into diaries. I have spent my first time here connecting various diarists to the diary page - and I made a few additions to that page.

I quite love the idea of this project - putting together the expertise of so many (unlimited) varied people.

The only entry I have initiated is The Diary of Anne Frank, but I'd be willing to bet that I have some more comments in me next time I surf around.

Hi and welcome to the 'pedia! Hope you'll like it here :-) --Anders Törlind

Hello, welcome! I just checked out diary and it looks a bit much like a dictionary entry, giving the different meanings of the word. I don't know if the page already looked like that before you worked on it, but generally we try to stay away from dictionary definitions and write articles about topics or concepts. The article about "diary" should just be about the art of writing diaries, about famous diaries etc.; a definition like "diary - daily appointment book" is unnecessary, even frowned upon. See Wikipedia is not a dictionary.

Oh, and thanks for starting "The Diary of Anne Frank"! Cheers, --AxelBoldt

yes it looked like that when I got to it. Perhaps I'll write something up a bit more like an essay...
