Picture of the day[edit]
The acorn is the nut of the oak tree and its close relatives, in the family Fagaceae. Acorns usually contain a seedling surrounded by two cotyledons (seedling leaves), enclosed in a tough shell known as the pericarp, and borne in a cup-shaped cupule. This acorn of the species Quercus robur (the pedunculate oak), with a length of 25 millimetres (1 inch), was photographed in Keila, Estonia.Photograph credit: Ivar Leidus
My interests[edit]
I am an amateur radio operator |
As amateur radio I have been licensed since 1994 using now CW qrp and RTTY and occasionally other digital modes. I'm using French, English and Spanish to communicate. My hobbies are collecting photos of official post boxes from everywhere especially the pillar boxes because I suffer from puxisdiphterophily (don't worry it is good for health !).
I am also interested in heraldry. My other interests are astronomy and rugby. For further info please wait to let me time to write down on this page. See you soon ! ¡ Hasta pronto ! À bientôt !
