Tip of the moment... Wikipedia Search box - basic Vector skin, simplified search box. Note that an empty Search displays "Search". Monobook skin, search box format. Wikipedia has its own search engine, with its search box on every page. The search box will go to a given page name, but there are three ways to go to the search results page instead. If you activate the magnifying-glass icon (or the Search button) from an empty search box, you'll go to an empty search results page. If you start any query with the tilde character, it always generates search results, ~page name. Choose "Search for pages containing" from the page names that drop-down as you type (if you have JavaScript enabled). To access the suggestions that drop down as you type, click the mouse on them, or use ↓, or Tab ↹, to access them. Navigation popups

The Navigation popups gadget allows easier access to several Wikipedia features as "popups" which appear when you hover the mouse over links. With this useful tool, when you hover your mouse cursor over a wikilink you can see a preview of the article or image; plus you can activate convenient functions such as going directly to the talk, edit, or history pages.

To use the navigation popups gadget you must be logged in under your own user account and turn on the gadget in your Preferences, available at the top right of your screen. In your preferences you will find navigation popups under Gadgets, Browsing gadgets. Full instructions are on the Navigation popups page.
