A question about vandalism

Let's say I think of a way to vandalise an article I find funny. Is there a way I could publish it in a good and safe way (see below for my thoughts on this)?

I used to plan to do it and undo it right after that. I even tried it once, although it happened to be something rather hard to undo and even harder to completely get rid of bad effects. However, now I realise that that may lead to bans if the rules don't care about immediate reversion. Maybe putting it on the talk page would be good, but I'm not sure. Sometimes I may want the vandalism to be not very noticeable, but still published in some form. Orisphera2 (talk) 23:14, 12 May 2024 (UTC)

@Joseywales1961, Orisphera2, and Liz: Looping Joseywales1961 and Liz as both of you have comments on Orispera2 edits. Good day Orisphera 2, I believe you find me via CVUA page which mentioned by Joseywales1961. First of all, Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia and not a social media site for info added/changed in the article needs to be supported by independent, reliable source for verification by the editor who makes the edit. So if you vandalize Wikipedia articles/pages, you will be warned and lead up to a block or ban in regardless of your reasons to do so. All edits are recorded permanently in Wikipedia and always can be viewed by anyone. I am surprised you would write to me to seek my advice if there is a way to vandalize Wikipedia that can go little notice even after you have been told you will be blocked if you continuing to do so. The answer is NO. If your intention is to vandalize Wikipedia for your own amusement, then I suggest you to stop editing immediately for you are not here to contribute to the project but instead have the intention to harm it. Cassiopeia talk 02:40, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
What article do you mean by "the article"? Orisphera2 (talk) 14:42, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
What's bad about making a change and immediately undoing it? Orisphera2 (talk) 14:42, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
Is there a social media I can use to share these? Orisphera2 (talk) 14:42, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
My intention isn't to vandalise Wikipedia for my own amusement, but one of my intentions is to share some interesting ways it can be, without it ending up on the shown version for more than the minimum time needed for me to make and undo it. However, I'd like to make some non-vandaliatic changes, too. I don't think I know all of them in advance, but I think they're good. Orisphera2 (talk) 14:42, 13 May 2024 (UTC)

Question from Altberry65 (23:25, 14 May 2024)

I just finished edited a new page .How long does it usually take to hear if its acceptable for Wikipedia? --Altberry65 (talk) 23:25, 14 May 2024 (UTC)

Altberry65, Good day and thank you for the question. I believe the new page you mentioned above is Draft:Al Berry. May I know are you Al Berry and if not what is the relation you have with Al Berry? Cassiopeia talk 23:49, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
I am Al Berry Altberry65 (talk) 23:57, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
Altberry6, Thank you for the quick reply. First of all, for a subject to have a page/article in Wikipedia, the subject need to pass/meet WP:GNG or WP:MUSICBIO criteria. This means the subject needs to have significant coverage by independent, reliable sources, such as from the major newspapers or books, (all social medias, official websites are considered not reliable or independent and Wikipedia can NOT be the source) whereby the subject is talk about in length and in depth and not passing mentioned. Your draft page does not meet the criteria to have a page in Wikipedia at the moment. Secondly, you have conflict of interest to write the article since you are the subject yourself. Finally, the content of the any article in Wikipedia needs to meet neutral point of view and not promote the subject which is a huge violation of Wikipedia guidelines as Wikipedia is an encolpia and not a social platform. Thank you. Cassiopeia talk 00:09, 15 May 2024 (UTC)

Payton Talbott

Hi, why isn't Payton Talbott notable yet? He already had one bout in the DWCS, two fights in the UFC and the third one is coming next. Have I misunderstood the notability criteria? AideDésintéressée (talk) 00:26, 20 May 2024 (UTC)

AideDésintéressée Good day. DWCS is not considered a UFC event. - see WP:NMMA guidlines. Have a good day and stay safe. Cassiopeia talk 00:30, 20 May 2024 (UTC)

CVU Training

Hi Cassiopeia! I'm Lordseriouspig. I'd love to do the CVU training, to learn more about detecting and responding to vandalism. I've already been doing a bit, but I'd love to get some training. 🙂 Thanks, Lordseriouspig 08:48, 27 May 2024 (UTC)

{[U|Lordseriouspig}} Good day and thank you for interested in CVUA program. Pls note that the minimum total main space for an editor to join the program is 200. You current total main space edits is 65 - see HERE. I suggest you to complete WP:TWA short program first since you are new to Wikipedia so you would familiar yourself with some fundamental Wikipedia guidelines which will serve you well when you join the CVUA program. Pls note that the CUVA program do require you to read some material/guidelines and working on the some assignment. Most participants completed the program within 3 months but there is no time frame to complete the program since everyone works on the program on their own pace. If you have complete the TWA and have reach the main space edits as mentioned above then please pop back here and let me know so I would set up the program for you. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 09:21, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
Hi again, sorry, but can you double check? It shows as 201 edits for me. I have done TWA as well :) Thanks, Lordseriouspig (logged out edit) 11:03, 27 May 2024 (UTC)

CVUA

I think I may be ready for the next assignment, but please note I am busy (and slightly stressed) so I may come to it when I have time (even if I'm doing something else on Wikipedia) — thetechie@enwiki: ~/talk/ $ 22:51, 28 May 2024 (UTC)

TheTechie Posted assignment 2 on the program page. Note: Pls post all communication regarding the program on the "communication section" at the bottom of each assignment including letting me know you have finished with the assignment, questions if any, want to move on to next assignment, and etc. Stay safe and best. Question from Switzerland101 (17:26, 30 May 2024)

I have a question. How do you add a bio page? --Switzerland101 (talk) 17:26, 30 May 2024 (UTC)

(talk page watcher) Switzerland101, if you mean your user page, click here to create it. Do note that we have user page guidelines, so please be sure to read those before creating one. — thetechie@enwiki: ~/talk/ $ 22:48, 30 May 2024 (UTC)

Question from CoffmanFrank (21:18, 1 June 2024)

I'm interested in placing and developing a page about myself and my own work in writing (poetry and fiction) and in publishing and editing. --CoffmanFrank (talk) 21:18, 1 June 2024 (UTC)

(talk page watcher) CoffmanFrank, You cannot write about yourself in an article space, you would have a conflict of interest then. If you are notable, someone else will make one for you. Do not start a such page about yourself. However, if you would like to host limited info about yourself, you may create your userpage by clicking here. thetechie@enwiki: ~/talk/ $ 21:24, 1 June 2024 (UTC)
