Improper use of flag iconc

Greetings Dirtlawyer1. Please provide link to the policy. Those tables were created before I came across anyone mention the policy. I will move those details to hidden attributes, if you will kindly point to this policy page. In any event, it will be some time before the flag icons are removed from geographic location. The use of flag-icon for national sports team, is not my intention; it is within the templates, for example: fbw. Thanks. Harvardton (talk) 01:18, 30 August 2013 (UTC)

Greetings again, Dirtlawyer1. If I may point out there are many articles which use flag-icons for geographic locations. For example, the use of flag for host country of sporting events; this is a use of flag icon for geographic location. The sports associations or committees which organize the sporting events, have their own flags which are not in use, instead the national flags are displayed. Sporting clubs are displayed with national flags of country where the clubs are located; these are clearly use of flag-icons for geographic location. There are also lists of sporting events, with flag-icons displayed to represent geographic location. However, I appreciate your comments, and I will appreciate if you can point me to the policy page; so I can also participate in the discussion. Thanks again. Greetings, Dirtlawyer1. As per you opinion I have modified List of international goals scored by Abby Wambach to eliminate the use of flagicons. The use of national flags to represent sport teams are also eliminated; since the national government really has nothing to do with the sport teams; the flag of governing body should be displayed, as is the case with  Chinese Taipei. However, I do not believe, the new version of List of international goals scored by Abby Wambach is imparting information as much as the previous versions. I am still waiting for you to point out the policy page that motivated you to post a message to my talk-page. Thanks for your opinion. Harvardton (talk) 17:17, 1 September 2013 (UTC)

Hey man, I can see you've posted at WT:NFL a few times since you said you were going to address the issue of Template:Infobox NFL coach. Any chance you could give us that lengthy response you promised? – PeeJay 22:09, 11 September 2013 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) Actually, Jay, Dirtlawyer1 asked me to assist in a refactoring of these templates quite awhile ago. I'm still willing to do so, but it is going to need to be a collaborative effort. I know little to nothing about football, but quite an extensive amount about templates. You tell me exactly what you want it to do and look like, and I'll fit the logic in to make it happen. :) Technical 13 (talk) 22:41, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
Hi Technical 13, thanks for the reply. I'm afraid I can't give you a description of what the template(s) will look like because I don't believe a full discussion has taken place regarding the fate of the various American football biography infoboxes. I would prefer that all of them be merged to a single, all-purpose template with a name along the lines of Template:Infobox NFL biography, but it would be best that the discussion took place first – a discussion that Dirtlawyer1 said he would contribute to nearly two weeks ago. – PeeJay 22:58, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
It's been three weeks now since you said you would make a statement "after the holiday weekend". To which holidays were you actually referring? Perhaps Christmas? – PeeJay 00:40, 22 September 2013 (UTC)
