Sunday Bloody Sunday (1939)[edit]

Hello, it appears you made a mistake. It appears you are the one who is not being neutral. The genocide against ethnic germans is true and I have close relatives who experienced it. I simply changed the biased wording that was previously used in the article. I am not justifying the German invasion in Germany I am making sure people get the correct information without a far-left bias. I am not trying to get into an edit war, I just want the crimes against ethnic Germans to be known. There is a documentary about this if you want to learn more/verify - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23pNOPJt93s — Preceding unsigned comment added by Memethepenguin (talkcontribs) 17:06, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The passing of Dr. Jude Dougherty[edit]

I made the edit after I received an email from Thomas Dougherty, Dr. doughtery’s eldest son and my friend.

He died at his home in Potomac, Maryland.

Sorry, can provide more. I sure Catholic University and/or one of the local papers will have it in a day or two — Preceding unsigned comment added by Drpolarbear20 (talkcontribs) 11:37, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. Waiting a couple of days for an obituary on the article or something from CUA would be the best course of action, as a more reliable source is needed; personal knowledge from an email, even from Dr. Jude's son, is not enough. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 14:19, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Just FYI, I reverted the page User talk:MAC Seal and Rubber Components to a version prior to the users' spam edits. I didn't see your edit about their username, but they are listed at WP:UAA anyway. They'll be blocked soon. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 05:41, 13 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Who the hell are you?[edit]

Who the hell do you think you are? I have been living in Slab City for 6 years now and if anyone knows this place better than what's on there already, it's me. If I want to write something to help people who come out here make accurate decisions and protect themselves, you should damn well leave it alone. No, I am sure as hell not telling anyone who I am either, there's a reason I live in the middle of the Sonora. If you don't like my contributions feel free to perpetuate ignorance and spread lies.

Yeah, except that Wikipedia is not the place to advise on whether or not anyone should live there - see WP:NPOV and WP:NOT. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 07:10, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This place is dangerous. Good luck understanding that.
You'd be better off going somewhere else to tell people that - that place isn't Wikipedia. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 07:14, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Those articles were literally written by people who come out here as tourists and look at us like we are animals in a zoo. That's why the articles are official sources. They are not from around here. This ain't no happy happy burning man "free place in America" party zone where everything works out well for everyone. People deserve to see the truth, and all I did was correct a misleading remark about the amount of meth out here, and add factual information about the people who die from the heat. I would like them restored. Success does not lead to learning, and it has taken enough suffering that these words are valid. You must truly have very little control over the rest of your reality to be this way to others here. The truth is not to be found on that page, and overall what is there will only cause issues for people who think they can read your site for accurate information that will help them. It is not inaccurate at all to say that "Many people die out here every summer." but I wanted to be more specific because among permanent residents it's always at least 10 who we know of. Count deaths from drug overdoses, "disappearances", snakes, non-heat related issues, and it's far far more. And yes that's out of usually LESS than 150 who stay the summer. I am sorry I can't verify the information. They won't even give me a California Driver's License because I have no official address. Bad things happen even more frequently to people who do not have specific plans here. Also not a single one of us would ever be called or call each other a "Slabbie", that is simply wrong. We are "Slabbers" and the city people are "Babylonians" or "Normies", and if you can't even get that one right you deserve the rest of it too. The storm approaches, and we will all need to be as informed and adaptable as possible. Please put it back. I gave you the chance. People who stick around long enough here to see the truth don't usually talk about it because it is dangerous, or they WANT people to come here for sinister reasons because they know the pattern. This is literally the one time I have ever tried to edit Wikipedia, and if this kind of information isn't even on here, I don't think I will be using it much in the future at all. Websites like this claim to be the end-all when it comes to useful information by their very nature, but most of the time I see them just making a lot of young people overconfident.

Edit to Mike Labingo Death date.[edit]

Hello, you left a message for me regarding an edit I made to Mike Labinjo. I have corrected the death date to Sept 21 2018. There are multiple sources that state he "was found September 21 2018". https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/mike-labinjo-family-homicide-police-investigation-1.5919068 is just one. Thank you

Hello. When you made this edit on 27 March, you did not cite a source - hence why it was reverted. For future reference, edits like this should always come with a citation - for help on referencing, see WP:REFBEGIN. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 06:08, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, thank you for adding those sources - for future reference, you should always cite a source confirming an individual's date of death as soon as it is added to the article. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 04:47, 8 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Loren P. Woods COI editing[edit]

Hello, recent changes patrollers. Within the last 24 hours on the Loren P. Woods article (presumably during overlapping recent changes patrols), an IP editor claiming to be a family member of the article subject has violated multiple policies and guidelines, including verifiability, no original research, and conflict of interest guidelines (see the current state of the article here). While I have considered reverting/restoring the article to something like this to ensure these standards are upheld, instead I wrote a talk page message without a restore (in fear of inadvertently starting further conflicts). Since these and other talk page messages have been ignored, what input do you and @MelecieDiancie: have for what should be done next? Randompointofview (talk) 18:37, 16 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'd say revert and use edit summary to at the very least tell them to check their talk page, as they may've read the edit summaries (my RedWarn talk in main revert suggested to be bold and fix the problem, which they did attempt to do). just my personal choice of the matter, however I don't see myself as anywhere near an expert on counter vandalism yet.  | melecie | t 00:03, 17 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I wonder if this is enough to merit going to WP:COIN? lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 03:09, 17 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@MelecieDiancie and HMSLavender: I considered doing that, but the instructions at WP:COIN says it is mainly for use after "ordinary talk page discussion has been attempted and failed to resolve the issue" (discussion so far: several generic templates, one original message, counterarguments from IP editor in summaries). So that might not be a viable dispute resolution method right now, but it may come to that point in the near future. Randompointofview (talk) 04:28, 17 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Note: Since there has been no response whatsoever to the talk page message(s), I will probably try restoring the page now/soon with a link in the edit summary and see what happens. Randompointofview (talk) 03:14, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Local Churches[edit]

Hi they have unorthodox understanding on Trinity and it has been confirmed by them (see ministrybooks) also I was going to add references to their understanding, since understanding of trinity is what differe from mainline Christianity... Re: Toadworks page edit.[edit]

Hi, I am Doug H., co-founder of ToadWorks pedals (as mentioned in the article). I am the one who deleted the "Controversy" section because in fact there was NO "controversy." That was inserted over a decade ago by some anonymous participant on a guitar board from way back. A cursory examination reveals this to be hearsay at best and slander at worst. Since it is not factually related, I want it removed. I can't help but notice no other musical equipment Wiki page is burdened with a "Controversy" section. Thanks for your attention.

John Huston publicity still.[edit]

I corrected the date attributed to the publicity still of John Huston which is the title photo used in his Wikipedia article. That publicity still is from the motion picture Chinatown, which was filmed in the autumn of 1973 according to Internet Movie Database. You changed it back to the erroneous date of 1972 and invited me to cite a source for my change.

Hi there. It's likely that the date of 1972 was taken from the image's (now missing) listing on Ebay. Given the image was actually taken a year later, I've reverted back to the 1973 date on the article - I suppose changes could be made to the date on the file page. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 05:19, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

September 5th 2021[edit]

Hello, I'm Hurryhussar1301. Recently you've reversed my change in the article of Trần Quốc Toản due to my lack of needed source. However, I think the year 1285 for his death should be kept. We are Vietnamese, and most of our popular writings agree that he died at the age of 18, without a certain month of this event (February or May in our lunar calendar)

@Hurryhussar1301: Hi there. I'm afraid we can't keep changes like these without a source. If there are indeed books that discuss the date of death, you should be able to cite it on the article itself. I would advise using RefToolbar to get yourself started. Sorry, but merely being closely associated with him does not make you a reliable source. When changes need to be made to birth dates, we can only accept what is written on sources such as news articles, or by sources directly linked to the subject (i.e., websites, not personal knowledge). lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 15:40, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
