Information icon Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Jack Rodwell, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 13:13, 27 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disambiguation link notification for October 4[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2016 Tour de Corse, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Scott Martin. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Sources[edit]

Hi Kovpastish,

Can you please read your sources more carefully in future? I have just had to undo your edits to 2017 World Rally Championship because the content you removed was not supported by the source. Although the title of the article announced that Volkswagen will leave the WRC, the article itself made it clear that Volkswagen have not officially announced anything yet. Ever since they introduced a paywall, Autosport have developed the annoying habit of running click-bait headlines, seemingly suggesting something has happened (and, cynics would say, appearing to give them an exclusive), but it is not borne out by the content of the article. The usual standard required for confirmation is somebody within the team who is named and directly quoted. Prisonermonkeys (talk) 22:28, 1 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hyundai NGi20 WRC[edit]

I have noticed that you have been updating WRC articles to include the name "Hyundai NGi20 WRC", particularly in 2016. Could you please revert these edits? The names "Hyundai New Generation i20 WRC" and "Hyundai NGi20 WRC" were never used. The "New Generation" tag was temporarily used by Hyundai to describe the car that ultimately became the Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC. Prisonermonkeys (talk) 03:42, 18 January 2017 (UTC) Prisonermonkeys (talk) 03:42, 18 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I see. I did so since Hyundai themselves called the '16 spec i20 the NG. It's a different car from the initial i20 WRC I got feeling of. What about calling it the Hyundai i20 WRC 16? Otherwise, I can revert them, no problem. Kovpastish (talk) 12:17, 18 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No, the car was only ever known as the "Hyundai i20 WRC". We can't change the name or create a new one because it suits us — we can only ever use the names provided by sources. Prisonermonkeys (talk) 01:56, 20 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Understood, I'll revert them after the weekend. Kovpastish (talk) 16:45, 20 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox dates[edit]

Hi, when updating infobox stats you should update the |club-update= or |pcupdate= parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update= or |ntupdate= parameter for international stats, by adding five tildes (~~~~~), which generates the specific time the update was made. Thanks, Mattythewhite (talk) 23:26, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please keep this in mind. Mattythewhite (talk) 22:18, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
