Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Linexrecords", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it sounds like a company. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Hello Linexrecords. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:Abdul Sattar Mahomed, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Linexrecords. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Linexrecords|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 11:55, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Linexrecords, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Linexrecords|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. '''[[User:CanonNi]]''' (talkcontribs) 12:12, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The editor has responded below that they ar not paid: "I am not paid ediotr neither am i a record label, i am an independant indavidual Linexrecords (talk) 12:22, 20 May 2024 (UTC)" and we accept this simple declaration. They just don't meet the musician inclusion criteria, sorry. Secretlondon (talk) 12:32, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much for all your assistance. apologies for the trouble Linexrecords (talk) 12:41, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your article[edit]

Hi. We have very strict rules about which musicians can get an article on wikipedia. The criteria are here: WP:MUSICIAN. The guy you are writing about does not seem famous enough to meet the criteria. Generally anyone eligible will have been written about in lots and lots of places - not just the local press. Please don't resubmit the same thing as you'll just irritate our volunteer assessors.

Also your name makes it sound like you are a record label. We don't allow people to edit on behalf of companies. Would you like to change your name? Thanks for understanding our anti-spam/promotion rules. Secretlondon (talk) 11:46, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Even if you change your name, the question about paid editing is mandatory for you to answer. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 12:11, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am not paid ediotr neither am i a record label, i am an independant indavidual Linexrecords (talk) 12:22, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Then you need to change your name as you sound like a record label. Secretlondon (talk) 12:31, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome to Wikipedia. Your account has been blocked from editing because your username gives the impression that the account represents a group, club, organization, company, or website. Your username is the principal reason for the block. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here. You may also read our FAQ for article subjects

Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change. The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username on this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page (this page): {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

Thank you.
