A tag has been placed on File:Burkhard Driest.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Burkhard Driest[edit]

Thank you for helping with the article. Where did the former image go? We could have both, no? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:56, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No to what? Why can't we have two under different names? - I nominated him for recent deaths. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:30, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
May be I undestand better now, that the former version was not properly licensed? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:01, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The use of non-free content must meet all of the non-free content criteria. The first image is from Getty Images which is a commercial photo agency, and as such does not meet WP:NFCC#2 (respect for commercial opportunities). We cannot use two non-free images for visual identification as that would not meet WP:NFCC#3a (minimal number of items). Regards. -- Whpq (talk) 14:14, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ITN recognition for Burkhard Driest[edit]

On 29 February 2020, In the news was updated with an item that involved the article Burkhard Driest, which you updated. If you know of another recently created or updated article suitable for inclusion in ITN, please suggest it on the candidates page. Kees08 (Talk) 19:01, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for what you did! - I can only hope that nobody will ask for the sources of the long list of works. For In the news, every little bit needs a reference. Best you provide them. - Who says 28 Feb was his day of death. Do we even know exactly which day? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:41, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Source Die Zeit says Thursday which is 27. The literal translation from de is horrible! Why did you reinstate that? What in "needs source" did you not understand? I have other things to do than cleaning up that mess. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:38, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

IMDb is NOT a reliable source, sorry. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:02, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
