VSDC Free Video Editor is a non-linear editing (NLE) application developed by Flash-Integro LLC. [1]It can process custom resolutions, including high-resolution footage, 3D and VR360-degree videos. The software allows applying post production effects, live color correction, and motion tracking. It supports VirtualDub plug-ins and can capture video from screen, record voice, and save multimedia files to numerous formats including those pre-configured for publishing on social media platforms.[2]

Overview[edit]

VSDC runs on Windows 2000 and later. [3]It is a full-featured video editing program. It allows users to create new videos, edit existing ones, mix video and audio files, add filters and effects, and convert videos between formats. It also allows users to capture video from their webcam or screen. VSDC Free Video Editor offers a variety of features that are typically found in professional video editing software.[4][5]

VSDC offers a range of features for video editing and post-production, including basic tools like video creation, slideshows, screen capture, video conversion, effects, and filters. Advanced features include motion tracking, comprehensive color correction with tools like LUT Editor and RGB Curves, and a mask tool for selective filter application. Additional capabilities include multicam editing, chroma keying for green screens, and various video effects like filters, transformations, OpenGL effects, and transitions. These tools enable users to produce high-quality videos, burn them to discs, or upload them to social media platforms.[6][7]

Audio processing[edit]

VSDC offers advanced audio processing features, allowing users to split video into separate audio and video layers, edit audio as waveforms, apply various effects like normalization and noise reduction, record voiceovers, and synchronize video effects with music beats.
